SaxaVord UK Space Port is the first and only licensed vertical-launch spaceport in Europe. Based on the island of Unst, in the Shetland Isles, the spaceport is due for its first orbital launch later this year. As their Education Partner, we are proud to have created Starflight Academy in the summer of 2023, a virtual space-learning programme. This initiative returned in the summer of 2024 aimed at addressing resource challenges in schools, the programme will provide interactive and inspiring STEAM lessons centred around space education. The four-week programme, curated by renowned astronaut teacher Mike Mongo, offered a unique opportunity for children to delve into the world of satellites and space exploration.
